BLESSED SACRAMENT YOUTH AND FAMILY
FAITH FORMATION/RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Our Faith Formation / Religious Education program is for children in grades K – 8 who are members of the parish but do not go to Catholic schools. Parents are strongly encouraged to enroll their children in this program. It is in this way that we take seriously the “Great Commission” given to us by Christ to make disciples, teaching them to observe all that God has commanded us (cf. Mt 28:19-20).
Classes begin at 10:30 AM (after 9:30AM Mass) and end at 11:30 AM on Sundays. Coffee Hospitality Hour is available during class time for families. For more information on the program contact the Parish Office or the Director of the program at .
CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD
The Children's Liturgy of the Word is conducted during the 9:30 a.m. Mass. It is open to children between the ages of 4 and 7. The Gospel and/or other readings from the Mass are presented in words and activities that are understandable to young children. The Liturgy of the Word has the goal of familiarizing young children with the Bible and Catholic faith tradition.
My vision runs in line with the Lord's vision of teaching our youth the wonders of His word in a manner suited to engage their minds. Hopefully the children will reap the rewards of these teachings by applying them as they grow. All virtus certified adults are encouraged to volunteer to assist in this program.
