Happy Thanksgiving From Fr. Severine Yagaza
FROM FR. SEVERINE YAGAZA
Dear friend parishioners of Blessed Sacrament and St. Vincent De Paul: I would like to wish all of you HAPPY THANKSGIVING. I know that we celebrate THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY 2020 in the midst of Coronavirus Pandemic. The cases are growing up, fears engulfing us of our safety. Most of us will not be able to travel to visit or gather with our loved ones in our homes to share the meal and love to each other. Even with all these limitations of celebrating our traditional and national holiday of Thanksgiving, we have all the reasons to deepen ourselves into spirit of gratitude to God and gratitude to each. Let’s be inspired by the Scriptural Reading from 1 Timothy 4:4-5 "For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer." Yes! We are recipients of God’s wonderful gifts of creation, redemption, and sanctification. Everything God has created is good and He has given them to us freely and with much love. The best gift we can give back to God is our expression of gratitude to Him. We all say, “THANK YOU GOD!” To you and all your loved ones, HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
